Range Saftety Officer Training

The NRA Range Safety Officer Course will be offered at Southport Gun Club on October 2nd & 3rd.
The NRA Range Safety Officer progam was developed in response to the demand for a nationall-recognized range safety officer certification.  NRA Range Safety Officers are people who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
The Range Safety Officer course consists of : Range Safety Officer’s roles and responsibilities, range standard operating proceudres, range inspections and range rules, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, and Range Safety Briefing which include emergency procedures.
NRA Range Safety Officers must ob 21 years of age or older.  Candidates must also receive 90 percent or better on the written exam.
