Winter 2011 .22 Caliber & Center fire Bullseye Pistol League

The winter .22 Cal. and Center fire league is beginning shortly. Sign up for the league and practice begins on January 16-January 18. The league is 60 rounds for 12 weeks. the league days to shoot:
Monday 6:30pm and 7:30pm
Tuesday7:00pm (Except on the 2nd Tuesday of the month you will have to shoot at 6:00pm)
Friday 5:00pm
Sunday 8:00am

There is a Maximum of 10 shooters per relay.
Last year’s participants have priority to pick the same relay as last year.

Member fee is $35.00
Non Member fee is $100.00 the brakes down in the following manner: $35.00 fee for the league
$65.00 Range fee. The entry fee includes range time targets,trophies,targets and a banquet. The Non member has an added bonus if they decide to join the club they will receive a $50.00 credit towards the initiation fee. Sectionals Jan. 21 – 23 2011

The Sectional is an annual NRA sanctioned competition and only Southport Gun Club has the appropriate turning targets in the State to be able to sponsor such an event. The Sectional is comprised of four shooting matches and a fifth match for total score aggregate. Three of the matches, Slow, Timed and Rapid-fire exercises, include two targets each. The fourth match, called a Gallery or NMC (National Match Course), consists of one each Slow, Timed and Rapid-fire targets. Ten shots are fired at each target for a total of 90 rounds.

Competitors must be NRA classified and shoot against others of the same classification: Marksman, Sharpshooter, Expert and Master. Although some prefer revolvers, nearly all shooters now use semi-auto pistols and illusion (red dot) type sites. Medals are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place shooters

Fall Bullseye League Sign-up

It is the end of summer and you all know what that means it is time for the Fall Bullseye league. Sign up Sept. 8, 2010.
Time slots are:
Mondays at 6:30 Pm & 7:30 Pm.
Tuesday at 7:00 & 8:00 Pm.
Fridays at 5:00 Pm.
There is a maximum of 10 shooters allowed per relay. Last years participants have priority to pick the same relay as last year. The course of fire is 90 .22 Cal. Rounds each week. This is a great way to hone your skills and have fun with our members.
You do not need to be a member to join our Bullseye league. there is a Non-Member fee of $100.00 if you decide to join our club within one year of shooting the league you will get a $50.00 credit towards your initiation fee, what a great deal!. The fee for Southport members is $35.00. You will need a .22 Cal Pistol to participate in the league we do not rent out firearms.
These fees include: Range time for Non-Members, Targets, a Banquet and trophies.

This is a great way Southport masters members to get together and have fun and for people who are interested in joining Southport Masters to meet our members and learn how Bullseye competitions work. Our members are always happy to help others learn about the sport and pass their knowledge on. If you have not participated since you were in high school or just thought, it would be something new to try now is your chance to join us for another season of fun.
This league is a 12 weeks.
Practice week begins on Sept.13 and 14 This is when you pay your fees and receive your targets. The first week of the league is Sept. 20,2009
Ends on Dec. 19,2010 .
The tentative date for the banquet is Sunday Jan. 23, 2010.
