Membership has its obligations.
MEMBERSHIP
Southport Gun Club, Inc., conducts business meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM, at 7401-75th St., Kenosha, WI. Meetings are open to the public.
For insurance reasons, all members must also be National Rifle Association members.
New member candidates are sponsored by an existing club member only. Applicants are interviewed by the members present at their first monthly meeting. Candidates must attend a second meeting for initiation and training. All members are expected to participate in range operations and maintenance.
Everyone using the range (shooters and spectators) must know the safety rules and sign a Release and Indemnification Form. All members receive mandatory Range Operations and Safety instruction that is repeated periodically. Each member must assume Range Safety Officer duties when on the premises.
FEES
Regular dues are $15.00 per month. Senior dues, age 75 or older, is $5.00 per month. An initiation fee of $70.00 is required to activate new memberships, which includes electronic entry key. The first three months must also be paid by new members. Dues are paid on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis.

Brand new shooters are allowed one shooting visit for free and are encouraged to seek membership for continued range use. Members who bring in one or two shooters may elect to shoot along with them after the guests have demonstrated a good understanding and reliable implementation of the basic safety rules.
